My happy boy

I didn't post anything last night because we were out a little late. We were home before 10:00, but that is considered late these days. (I remember how in college we would go bowling until midnight, then go to IHOP afterwards. Then get up and go to class the next morning. Stupid. You couldn't pay me to do that now.) Bradley, Will, and I, along with Brad's parents, went to Searcy to watch a family friend play in a Harding Academy basketball game. It as so neat for Bradley to see some of his old friends and get to show his little boy off. Will did really well. He wasn't a fan of the drums and all the noise at first, but got used to it pretty quickly.

Afterwards we went to Luigi's, which I love, and it was so good. I stepped out of my comfort zone of ordering chicken tortellini alfredo, and ordered lobster ravioli. I loved it! Will has gotten to where he can sit up pretty well now, as long as he's got something near him. I can't just set him down in the floor and walk off yet - he's still a little wobbly there. But last night for the first time, we put him in a high chair in a restaurant. It was so funny! He kept trying to put his hands in his daddy's and grandpa's salad (which he finally did), he played the drop-my-toy-in-the-floor-so-daddy-will-pick-it-up-for-me game, and he grinned and "talked" to us the whole time. I just kept looking at him in his restaurant high chair and thinking about how big he's gotten and how he's getting such a sweet, happy personality.

Yesterday, before going out, I had my foot propped up in the recliner and Will was sitting in my lap playing with his phone. I was watching Everybody Loves Raymond. It's just about my favorite show for a lot of reasons, but mainly Frank and Marie. They crack me up. Anyway, I laughed out loud at the show, and Will looked up at me. This happened two more times, and on the third time he laughed at me when I laughed. So I laughed back at him. He laughed back at me, and so on. We sat there and laughed at each other for ten minutes and the more we laughed the harder we laughed. I have to tell you, that baby has the most precious laugh I've ever heard! It melts my heart! I just enjoyed hearing him laugh like that so much that I had to write about it so I wouldn't forget it. I just love to see his big grin with those dimples. But now I hear him waking up from his nap by blowing raspberries, so I gotta go!

One of the first times I caught that dimpled smile on camera - 2 months old.

Have a great day!
